Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has announced that they have issued a permit to Consumers Energy for utility work on US-127 at Michigan Avenue in Jackson County starting early Sunday morning (March 1).
The work is scheduled to begin at 7:00 a.m. and has an estimated end time of 11:00 a.m. on the same morning.
MDOT says this project will require intermittent lane closures in each direction on US-127 at Michigan Avenue throughout the operation to ensure the safety of utility workers and motorists.
Drivers are advised to expect delays during the work period, and traffic control will be maintained by the Michigan State Police.
